Domestic violence in Pakistan

The Pakistani government is considering a new law on protection of domestic violence Domestic violence women and children (PADVWC) ActUnfortunately, this will create much controversy. First, people may choose to oppose it simply because they oppose the government of Pakistan due to political instability in general. Others may think that is being done to divert attention from the people or for the acquisition of a positive public image. Then there are the religious extremists who certainly do not agree with everything that would give equal rights for men and women. Islam in our own country, let alone worldwide is misinterpreted. In addition, women in our country are not aware of their rights and come from very conservative because they are trying to solve national problems related to domestic violence. Most of them are afraid to admit they are victims of abuse and many of them are ashamed. They are often threatened by male relatives, thus preventing them from receiving any assistance.Another justification for the law could be that domestic violence is a global problem and it happens to most women. "So it might be led to think that this is a normal and there is nothing wrong with that. Many women sacrifice much for their children in Pakistan and not to opt for divorce or separation because their children might be adversely affected. However, you do not realize is that children could also be affected by the abuse taking place around him. Then there are people who think that men can be abused. It is true that men can be victims, but in our society, women are in a very peripheral, for example, one third of the seats are reserved for women who do not have much to say in other important economic activities or social. Therefore, it is rare that men are victims of domestic violence in Pakistan. It is sad that women in our society do not feel safe in their own homes. They said she gave birth to their abusive husbands and in-laws all his life. This law will protect women, but the mentality of people must change too.
