I had an abortion: Chelsea Handler says she does not regret her abortion

I had an abortion: Chelsea Handler says she does not regret her abortion  One in three women will have an abortion at age 45, but saying: "I had an abortion" is a phrase very difficult for many women to say.
So few women share their experience with abortion often hear that women must repent of having an abortion, because no one talks about it. In fact, anti-choice supporters try to paint a grim picture of what an abortion is to women, but for some the decision to have an abortion is a decision you are not satisfied with the alarm or thought regretfully .
I Had An Abortion: Chelsea Handler Says She Doesn’t Regret Her Abortion
One of these women, comedian Chelsea Handler, recently admitted having an abortion at age 16 in an interview with Rosie O'Donnell. When O'Donnell discussed attacks on Roe v. Wade and women, saying that abortion ruined their lives, Handler has agreed that "No," was not his experience.
Handler adds: "Obviously, you should do whatever he wants with his body. And you should not let anyone tell you what to do. It is your decision. And of course, no, I do not regret at all."
For Handler were his parents encouraged him to have an abortion - "(My parents) were like," You get an abortion "-. But even after all these years, he has no regrets.
I had an abortion project
To demystify the experience of having an abortion, feminist activist and writer Jennifer Baumgardner began "project had an abortion" in 2004. To remove the silence and secrecy around abortion, shirts with the slogan "I had an abortion" were sold in the project.Baumgardner also created a film about stories of abortions for women with her friend Gillian Aldrich.
Baumgardner has since shared his own personal history of abortion in an article entitled: "I had an abortion ... and I am not ashamed to share my experience." Juggling career with two small children, Baumgardner says her unplanned pregnancy at the time considered "bad -. Not terribly sad or tragic, something that could not stand to the right, then in my life"
So she had an abortion, and she has no regrets and no shame. In fact, there is the power to share his story.
"I had an abortion" is important for me to say because I'm shoulder to shoulder with other women, people who believe in the right of all human beings make decisions about their bodies and their lives. Most importantly, I had an abortion say that out loud, because my life is not a shameful secret. "
So few women go on the record saying that she had an abortion, making driver and Baumgardner stories so important. With so much misinformation on the choice against abortion, talk about an experience that 1 in 3 women will be very important for the pro-choice.
What do you think? It is important to have the cause of women to share their experiences with abortion?
